Dear List
What Source can I search for information on the Families of the Jarls of Orkney especially Hlodver SIGURDSSON? I believe he was the one mentioned in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicles year 1014.

No Hlodver in the 1014 chronicle. With a few exceptions, the Orkneyinga
Saga is the only source for the early Jarls.

I believe he was the one mentioned in the Anglo-Saxon
Chronicles year 1014.

You mixed up the two names. The death of Sigurd son of
Hlodver at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014 is mentioned in
some of the Irish annals (for example, the Annals of Ulster).
To my knowledge, this is the earliest contemporary mention
of a jarl of Orkney. As far as I know, the earlier jarls are
only mentioned in the Icelandic sagas and in sources which
depend on them.
