CP correction in MCA? Constantine de MORTIMER

CP 9:248-8 describes Constantine de Mortimer of Attleborough (d. 1358-9) who is said to have been married twice, 1st to Sibyl and 2nd to Catherine. Neither wife's surname is noted by CP.

But the newly published MCA mentions among the children of Sir Richard de Brewes [or Breuse] and his wife Alice le Rus a daughter Sibyl who was wife of Constantine de Mortimer. The chronology appears to work properly here. If this statement in MCA can be supported, this would presumably be a hitherto unnoticed CP correction.

Does this mean that MCA doesn't support its own statement? Or that due to
the referencing method such support as may be there can't be readily
identified?

You should know the answer to that, Peter... :-) Of course, MCA doesn't tell you which of its dozen or more citations supports this particular fact. Nor does it tell you that at least one of its citations (CP 9:248-9) explicitly does NOT support this "fact".

The Brewes/Brewse/Braose family has been discussed at length in Gen-Med/SGM and no mention has ever been made of this particular connection. In addition, one might have expected the compiler of MCA to follow his usual practice of loudly announcing yet another "CP correction".....hmmmm...
