Can anyone please advise of a date or day
for any of the following:
Era is mid to late 1300's to mid 1400's
When I tried to work answers out, some dont make
sense as that king would be dead by then, so I am
asking you knowledgeable folk and see what comes back

for feast days.
This one is erroneous: Henry IV died in the 14th year of his reign.
Check your source.
Because there are a few Simons, this is Simon the Zealot, traditionally
believed martyred in Persia with St. Jude, feast celebrated 28 October.
Purification (= Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary) is on 2
February. 'Thursday before' depends on the year.

Re: When are these dates.
Thanks for the reply, will look at those suggested sites re dates.
In answer to your comment re Henry lV, I realised that
from info I had, the Henry lV year was probably wrong ,
thats why I wanted to check my arithmetic (which
also said it couldnt be).
Below is an excerpt from
Transactions of Archaelogical Society of Essex
Vol 1 new series M. DCCC.LXXVlll
Edited by G. Alan Lowndes M. A.
Which in section to do with the Barrington Family states:
"John Barrington gave a bond of £200 to the
Countess Gerard de Braybroke and William Marney,
only to be enforced in the event of his not
abiding by any award the Ladyship might give.
A similar bond was given by John de Boys.
And on the 26th of January in the
19th year of King Henry the Fourth the Countess
published and award in which she stated,
That she already settled in London the partition
of the manors of Otes, and the lands and tenements
called the Wantons land, Piershall and Aungre. "
Thus the section above shows that date, which
evidently is incorrect.
++++++++++++++++++++++
John de Boys married Margaret Bataille and
John Barrington married Alice Bataille
both sisters of Sir John Bataille who died in
holy land c 1397.I am working on the
Bataille/Battell/Battelle/Battley family tree,
and trying to confirm or otherwise some data
that is in a (970 page) book published in 1985
by Lucy Catherine Battelle of Yorkshire on that
family.
