Baillon Armorial

Hello,

Just wanted to share an armorial I have been working on for the
ancestors of Catherine Baillon. You can visit it at
http://habitant.org/baillon/armorial.htm

There are 11 other arms I have already drawn that I must yet add to this
web page. In addition, there are about 10 more arms to draw. Lastly, I
have to add the citations. I hope to have all the drawings finished in
the next few days.

Keep in mind that I am not an artist nor a heraldry expert. However, I
think I have accurately displayed these arms. In our book on Catherine
Baillon we were pretty careful in identifying the arms used by her
ancestors, usually based on original and contemporary documents, but
there are always discrepancies and variations. Please let me know if
you see any mistakes or omissions. Thank you.

Enjoy,

JP

I added some more arms to the Baillon armorial tonight. I only have to
do the Amiens arms, which involves a difficult vair pattern on three
chevrons, and I want to include the old Gavre arms used before the
Escornaix branch broke off.

Although Catherine Baillon descends from the kings of England, Scotland,
Hungry, and Jerusalem, as well as the emperor of the Holy Roman
Empire, I thought I would not include these arms since her connections
to these royal houses in most cases predates the use of arms for them.

Out of curiosity though, what were the arms, if any, used by Emperor
Frederick Barbarossa?
