Gary's _RD600_ gives a line of descent for John Jones (1708-1772) of
Boston, citing mainly A.E. de Couet, "The Ancestry of John Jones, 18th
Century Boston Merchant," NEHGR 113:216-21. Here's what the article
says about John1 Jones:

4. JOHN JONES, baptized at St. Nicholas, Bristol, 23 Jan. 1708, only
surviving child ... went to New England, and having settled in Boston,
married there, 2 Sept. 1734, HANNAH, born 24 Sept. 1715, daughter of
Abraham Francis by his wife Hannah Fayerwether. His will, dated 22
March 1770 (codicil 21 Jan. 1772), was proved 6 Oct. 1772. In it he
mentions his wife, Hannah, his son William, his daughter Suzanna
Welles* and his grandsons John Jones Spooner, William Spooner, Joseph
Waldo, and John Jones Waldo.
The will of his wife, Hannah, dated 3 Dec. 1781, proved 23 July
1782, mentions her son William Jones, in the City of Bristol, in the
Kingdom of Great Britain, her daughter Suzanna Welles, wife of Arnold
Welles, her grandsons, John Jones Spooner, William Spooner, Joseph
Waldo, and John Jones Waldo, Hannah Jones, daughter of her son William,
her great-granddaughter, Hannah Spooner, and Hannah Francis Oliver,
daughter of Daniel Oliver.

*Suzanna Jones m. 23 Dec. 1760 Arnold Welles. Her sister, Martha, m.
11 March 1762 Joseph Waldo.

De Couet's article gives more information on the son William Jones of
Bristol, England, but nothing more on the daughters. Hermann F. Clarke
and Henry W. Foote, _Jeremiah Dummer: Colonial Craftsman & Merchant,
1645-1718_ (New York, 1970), p. 176, describes a portrait of Abraham
Francis, father of Hannah (Francis) Jones, and incidentally reveals
more about the family:

SUBJECT: Abraham Francis. On the back of the picture are pasted two
labels. One, apparently dating from the end fo the eighteenth century,
reads:

Mr. Francis
Great-great-grand father
to
Sarah H. Crafts
on her father's side.

The other label reads as follows:
'This picture is a portrait of Abraham Francis who was born in
Boston, Massachusetts, 10 Sept. 1688, son of Abraham and Mary Francis.
He married Hannah Fairweather in Boston 16 Feb. 1709. Their daughter
Hannah Francis born in Boston 24 Sept, 1715 married John Jones in
Boston 2 Sept 1734. Their daughter Hannah Jones born in Boston 8 Sept.
1736 married John Spooner, Jr., in Boston 3 June 1756. Their son John
Jones Spooner born in Boston 14 July 1757 married Sarah Heath in
Roxbury, Massachusetts, 25 Nov. 1783. Their daughter Sarah Heath
Spooner born in Roxbury 24 Sept. 1784 married Ebenezer Crafts in
Brookline 29 June 1806. Their son William Augustus Crafts born in
Roxbury 28 Oct. 1819 married Emily Doggett in 1842. Their son William
Francis Crafts born in Roxbury 24 Aug, 1855, present [1920] owner of
this portrait.

Thus we learn the names of the parents of the Spooner grandchildren of
John and Hannah (Francis) Jones.
