William F. Carter ("The Genealogist" (1921) 37:1; p. 24) gives a brief pedigree taken from a 1449 lawsuit involving the heirs of John Grendon. The plaintiffs of this suit included:

1) Margaret, daughter and coheir of Grendon; and her husband William Largo;
2) The heirs of his daughter Ellen:
a) John Brace, son and heir of Ellen's daughter Elizabeth by her 1st husband John Browne;
b) William Trussell, son and heir of Ellen's daughter Elizabeth by her 2nd husband William Burley;
c) Alice said to be Ellen's daughter and cohier, and her husband William Ruggeley; and,
d) Joan, Ellen's daughter by Burley, and her husband Thomas Littleton

I have never seen any mention of this daughter Alice before. Does any one have any additional information? Is she a daughter by Browne or by Burley???

Thanks.
