Dear Newsgroup,
The Bible says ` let He who is without sin cast
the first stone` apparently in the spelling of names (? and otherwise) Douglas
Richardson is of the opinion that this is true of him... and I suppose there is
a vague possibility that He is the spelling maven (to use the game
Scrabble`s term for the supposedly never in error spelling master / mistress). I
confess I don`t spell check his postings. I think there has been a bit too much made
of the Aline / Aliva / Alina business by most of the parties concerned. You
all know who You are. I realize I will be percieved as being out of line but
saying one word on this matter, but the fact remains that no one used a
standard spelling in the medieval era, so there is no single correct way of
identifying any personage who may be discussed and We all, being mere humans can
misspell words. I know I frequently do so, to say nothing of all those improperly
phrased sentences and improper puncuation in my posts.

Sincerely,

James W Cummings
