Hywel Fychan and William Cantelupe

Bartrum (1974), in the chart "Bleddyn ap Maenyrch 40", in volume 1 on page
124, shows the wife of Hywel Fychan of Breigan, and mother of his children,
to have been "NN f. Sir William Cantelupe". (The "f." stands for "ferch",
Welsh for daughter of.)

This "Sir William Cantelupe" would seem to be William II de Cantelou (d.
1251) who married Millicent de Gournay.

Does anyone know of other evidence that Bleddyn's wife was a daughter of a
William Cantelupe? Does anyone know of evidence that this is indeed
William de Cantelou (d. 1251)? Does anyone know of evidence whether
Bleddyn's wife's mother was Millicent?

Thanks.

I understand that a single 'f' in Welsh is pronounced as 'v', a double f
('ff') is pronounced as 'f'. I believe the anglicized form of the word for
'daughter of' is 'verch'.
