Below is a letter that you sent to the gen-medieval list.
I do not see the connection of anselmo to Andrew Monroe or to Mary Drake.
Also are you aware that Mary Drakes sister Jane is also a gateway ancestor
as she married John Parramore.
Sincerely,
Ray

Peter Stewart definitely has opened a treasure box, especially for
Americans, see below.
Hope it is of interest.
Best wishes

In the thread from which his copied post was taken, Thierry Stasser
cited Fedele Savio's paper 'Il Marchese Bonifacio del Vasto ed Adelaide
Contessa di Sicilia regina di Gerusalemme', _Atti della Reale Accademia
delle Scienze di Torino_, Classe di scienze morali, storiche e
filologiche 22 (1887) 17–35. This is worth looking up, rather than
repeating the confusions of West Winter or online histories ot Italian
towns.
Savio detailed 11 children, as follows:
By a first wife of unknown name, related to her husband:
1. Bonifacio, ancestor of the margraves of Incisa
2. A daughter named in 1109 as a prospective bride for Louis VI of France
By Agnes of Vermandois:
3. Manfredo, ancestor of the margraves of Saluzzo
4. Guglielmo, ancestor of the margraves of Busca
5. Ugomagno, occurring in 1142 & 1167 - not the use of the hereditary
byname, through his grandfather Hugo Magnus
6. Anselmo, ancestor of the margraves of Ceva & Clavessana
It is a serious pity that so little seems known about this family as it is
an incredible link in genealogy. For my message I concentrate on nr.6.
Anselmo, ancestor of the margraves of Cevan and Clavessana.
Amongst his many interesting ancestors we can find Henri I, King of France,
Jaroslav I Grand Duke of Kiev, Olof III King of Sweden, Rollo Duke of
Normandy and Charlemagne.
Amongst his descendants is Prince William of Wales, Aga Khan IV and Irish
scientist Dr.Andrew Claude de La Cherois Crommelin after whom a crater on
the moon is named.
But closer to us, let me mention a few names of people involved with
genealogy who are his descendants :
Brice Clagett
John Steele Gordon
Gordon R. Hale Jr.
Malinda Jones
George Andrews Moriarty

American Presidents descending from this obscure Italian, Anselmo,
