Hello Folks,
Thought I should let you know that a new Europäische Stammtafeln volume
will be released this spring. Here is the information I pulled from the
advertisement:
Vol. 20 [sic, on announcement, should it be 22?], Rund um die Ostsee 1
[Around the Baltic Sea 1], to be published in the spring of 2005, 164
tables, 128 Euros, ISBN 3-465-03380-9. This is part of the new fourth
series.
Anyone with more knowledge of German than I, please let me know if I
have adequately translated the title. Although the advertisement says
this is going to be volume 20, the last volume printed was vol. 21.
I have posted this information to my web page on the Europäische
Stammtafeln at http://habitant.org/tools/esnotes.htm.
Regards,
JP

Re: New Europäische Stammtafeln Volume
The website for the publisher of ES indicates that the new volume is 22.
See http://www.klostermann.de/stamm/st_3380.htm. There is a list of some
of the families to be included in the new volume, notably including
Ahlefeld[t] and Bernstorff. Hopefully a complete list will be availble when
the volume is published.
The numbering system of the volumes is admittedly a bit strange. The last
volume published, covering Russian families, was for some reason called Band
3, Teil 5. ???

The numbering system of ES isn't that strange-the volumes
III/* covering collateral lines of families treated in vol II
The next one,III/6, should cover the Polish princes descending from
Gedimin(ES II:124)
And,BTW,the families in ES XX are:
Ahlefeld charts1-28
Apraxin 29-33
Bernstorff 34-47
Bestushew 48-50
Borcke 51-84
Buturlin 85-95
Chowanski 96-100
Flemming(Pommeren) 101-114
Golenistchev-Kutuzov 115-121
von der Goltz 122-164
