Dear All
A good deal of my medieval ancestry I found years ago in a book written in
Guernsey over 100 years ago (and therefore likely to be dodgy). It was
called "Our Kin" by someone de Guerin - can't remember his first name.
Among the interesting family names was de Lomagne. The notes I have say:
"The branches of the de Lomagnes known as the Seigneurs and Barons de
Montaigu, Comtes d'Estafford and Nigrepelisse, Guienne, were respectively
founded by Jacques and Jean, two brothers, sons of Eudes de Lomagne,
Seigneur de Fimacon, Donzenac etc., Seneschal of Guienne and Gascony in 1454
a representative of the Comtes de Lomagne, Princes de Verdun etc.,
descended from the ancient kings of France, whose arms they bear as their
first quartering. Their pedigree is compiled from J. Bourrousse de Laffore's
"Nobiliaire de Guienne; L'Art a verifie la Dates", and other authentic
sources."
Can any of enlighten me as to the authenticity of the book mentioned as a
source, and also Eudes de Lomagne and his ancestors or descendants? I am
happy to supply what I have from the book.

Dear Merilyn

"A" family de Lomagne is in ES, give me a moment and I see if they connect
with your information.
