found in a will in 1444

itm lego thomas stleger filolo meo quinque marcs.

St. Leger. Do you know which Thomas st.Leger this will relates to?

No doubt there is a policy on this among transcribers but I don't know what
it is.

As the 'itm' remains in English wills in later periods even when the
rest of the will is in English, might there be a case for leaving that
untranslated here in Charlotte's final version?

Yes, I'm sure such a case could be made - I hesitated whether to leave it
untranslated or not.
