Brigitte Gastel Lloyd has now 20 generations of descendants (not complete)
of Charlemagne on her website

http://worldroots.com/brigitte/famous/c ... nedesc.htm

Hope this helps, anyone finding errors or who can add, please let me know.

It starts out with an obvious clanger - the title is

'Descendants of Karl der Grosse "Charlemagne" (742-814)'

and yet the emperor's own details are

"Charlemagne...
Born circa 747/748
Died 28 January 814 Aachen"

The birthdate of 742 was pretty definitively corrected by KF Werner in
'La date de naissance de Charlemagne', _Bulletin de la Société
nationale des antiquaires, 1972_ (Paris, 1975), and 747/748 is
certainly preferable.

Dear Peter,
That error was Brigitte's department and she has corrected it now. Thanks
for making us aware of it.
Best wishes
Leo

Leo,
Thank you for this. What an enormous piece of work! With luck, you
may actually be responsible for some good genealogy driving out bad.

Best,
Ken
