Foster family of Iden, Sussex [1500s]

Does anyone know anything further on Thomas Foster (d. 1544) of Iden, Sussex
and his wife [wives]? His will [P.C.C. PROB 11/30 ~ 21 May 1544] mentions
his wife Joan [then living], his three sons, and requests burial in All Saints
Church, Iden. Most pedigrees give the mother of his second son, Thomas
Foster of St. John's Street, Clerkenwell, as Anne Langton of Lancashire. Is
there any truth to this?

The eldest son of Thomas Foster (d. 1544) was Goddard Foster, Gent. (d.
1577) [see his will P.C.C. PROB 11/59 ~ 28 Jan 1577]. Goddard's two known sons
were Thomas Foster, Esq. (d. 1605) of Iden [see his will P.C.C. PROB 11/107 ~
30 Jan 1606] and Goddard Foster, Gent. of Battle [see his will P.C.C. PROB
11/177 ~ 26 Aug 1638].

Does anyone know the origin of the arms of the Foster family of Iden? The
second son of Thomas Foster (d. 1544) was, as stated, Thomas Foster of St.
John's Street, Clerkenwell. His arms [differenced from Goddard's descendants by
a crescent] appear on the tomb of his son-in-law, Sir Thomas Forster (d.
1612) of Hunsdon, impaled with Sir Thomas's own arms [the arms of the Forsters
of Adderstone differenced also with a crescent].

Any assistance on the earlier ancestry of the Fosters of Iden and their
alleged Langton descent is appreciated.
