Bara, Barra, Barras

I have a baptism record of a Nicolas Bara in 1614 in Champagne region of
France. He was a "vigneron". I am seeking assistance in trying to find
earlier records of his father, also Nicolas and/or mention of possible
records in medieval Europe.
I've run back to a dead end in the Department of Marne Archive.
Thank you,

How can you expect help if you give no details ???

If you have the baptism record, then you should have at least his
father, with some luck his mother too, and more important, the name
of the town...

Hi Denis,
I gave the name of the father, it is Nicolas also. Here are the rest of the
details:
Nicolas Bara married to Lysse Bondron? probably at Jouy, now Jouy-les-Reims,
but listed in record of Villedommange, France.
Their son Nicolas Bara (Baras) fils was baptized 2 Mar 1614 at
Jouy-les-Reims, France.
Married to Liesse Aubry at Bezannes, France--near Jouy.
Died at Jouy, but buried at Bezannes, before 30 Aug 1683.
Nicolas' (fils) Godfather was Nicolas Benorst?; Godmother was Barbe Bailly.
Nicolas (fils) had a brother Jean Bara and sister Elizabeth Bara.
If you need more information on descendants let me know.
