Stanley family of Hooton, Cheshire [1400s]

I have seen some previous posts regarding the lineage of the Stanley family
of Hooton as well as Mr Richardson's version as presented in Plantagenet
Ancestry, and want to point out what may need some attention.

William Stanley of Hooton [fl. 1470-1510] was indeed a son of Alice Hoghton,
daughter of Sir Richard Hoghton, as presented in the 1580 Cheshire
Visitation. This statement is supported by two charters from the John Rylands Library
at Manchester University:
1. In 1465 Alicia Stanley was called widow of William Stanley of Hooton and
mother of his son William [RYCH/1677 ~ 11 Mar 1465].
2. In 1510 William Stanley of Hooton was called kinsman and heir of Henry
Hoghton, esq., and also called son of Alicia, sister of Henry Hoghton [RYCH/1324
~ 1 Oct 1510].

Also of interest, William Stanley's marriage license dated 26 Jul 1470 to
Agnes Grosvenour can be found amongst the same collection with the reference
RYCH/1678 ~ 26 Jul 1470.

Also confirmed by these charters is the naming of Blanche [fl. 1403-1424],
wife of William de Stanley [deceased by 1424] of Hooton, as mother of his son
William. The two charters that mention her can be found in the same
collection with the references of RYCH/1801 ~ 8 Feb 1401 and RYCH/1802 ~ 18 Dec 1424.

I wanted to point out the first item since it seems a correction was made to
the lineage in the 1580 visitation that was not needed.
