Fw: Question about membership

So you pay your fee (was that $50? cost CD and postage $5 profit $45) and all you get is a CD? He gets your information which should add to his collection and he can use it for the next 'member'.

Dear Sir:

I am sorry, we do not have a website. Nor do we want one. Our membership is restricted to descendants of Charlemagne, and our data base is also restricted to those members.

Best wishes,
Lowell A. Barker,
Charlemagne Society

$50 is quite cheap. I was to propose a lineage to Charlemagne for
$300, which includes finding about 2000 ancestors since we don't know
which line is the right line (actually, we don't know for sure that
someone will link to a gateway royal descent).

Here, $50 is a typical price for a line to the first of the name,
i.e. for about 10 to 12 couples until the gateway (usually the French
migrant).
