As you are no doubt aware, a great deal has been written on the Curwens,
Lamplughs and other families you mention.

You may possibly not be aware that the Lamplughs were treated fairly
thoroughly in an article in the CWAAS by the Rev. S. Taylor in 1938. If you
haven't looked at it, it is certainly worth doing so.

The Lamplugh family papers are deposited at Whitehaven Record Office and
last summer were added to A2A - however, they don't go back beyond the
seventeenth century.

Thanks Chris,

I have used the CWAAS on many occasions and it has been quite helpful in
researching my Cumberland lines although I have been thru many volumes I
haven't seen the 1938 reference and will track it down.

I also had caught up with Lamplugh on the A2A website yet (but will) as
again I have found quite a lot of interesting stuff regarding my other
family lines there

Regards

Peter
