Wilcotes ages

John Wilcotes, of Great Tew, Oxfordshire, died on May 21,
1422, but his ipm was not taken until Oct. 28, 1427. CIPM
23:31. His heirs were his daughters Elizabeth, aged 9 and more,
and Margaret, aged 8 and more. Is it possible to know whether
these ages are as of John's death or as of the taking of the
inquisition?

I think I've very occasionally seen an age given as at the death of the
deceased, but I think the usual formula is "X is the next heir and is of the
age of N years and more".
