On a side-note, I googled for this name and came up with a few choices. I
suspect the correct one is this T Stanford Mommaerts. He has apparently
published some articles on DFAs but I only see his name twice in the archives on
this list. Those two posts do not address the main point of the quality of his
work.
I just wonder if anyone has any comments on that.

Mommaerts also goes by ford when he posts. He contributes to other
newsgroups also. He's well respected by other genealogists.
Unfortunately, he hasn't been heard from in a couple months.

Has anyone heard anything from him lately? I've tried to access one of
his sites a couple weeks ago and it was also offline, so I don't know
what's going on. I hope is doing okay and just taking a sabbatical from
his work.

Ford created the abbreviation DFA, among other things.
