St. Arnwulf's ancestry

Legg inn av bartstam@juno.com » 05 jan 2005 19:01:02

Thank you for advising me that Prof. Kelley has changed his mind regarding the male-line ancestry of St. Arnwulf's father Bodegisel. I'll go back to the tentative ancestry line Mummolinus --> Munderic --> Chloderic --> Sigebert, which I see is what Moriarty had in his 1944 NEH&GR article. This change removes my concern regarding birth dates back as far as Sigebert.

I see in Settipani's 1990 & 2000 Addenda to his "Ancestors of Charlemange" that he has proposed 2 different tentative ancestries for Charles Martel's wife Rotrude than what Prof. Kelley had in his 1947 NEH&GR article. Is the ancestry chart in Settipani's "Addendum to Addenda (Jan. 31, 2000)" the current theory?
