Dear Newsgroup,

I was looking through the A2A catalogue (searching for Hakeford entries) and
came across this entry for Constantine de Mortimer and his wife Sybil (cf.
CP IX:249). It might hold a clue for the identity of Constantine's wife,
Sybil.

THE WODEHOUSE FAMILY OF KIMBERLEY
FILE - Conveyance by Ralph de Hakeford and wife Muriel to Sir Constantine de
Mortuomari, Kt., wife Sybil and his heirs, of land in Barnham. - ref. KIM
2M/1 - date: 5 April 3 Edward II [1310].

It is unclear whether Barnham refers to Barnham in co. Suffolk or possibly
Barnham Broom in co. Norfolk. The Hakeford family also had lands in West
Harling, co. Norfolk.
