LOVE SEX AND MARRIAGE - Lawrence Stone

Can anyone tell me what is generally thought of this book and of Lawrence
Stone as a historian. Has there been any further expansions on his treatise
since he wrote it?

I can tell you that I read this work in college in an upper level
seminar on British History taught by the late Roger Howell at Bowdoin
College. Insofar as he was a very good scholar of British History, I
would assume that he wouldn't use any work that wasn't up to par. I
took the course in 1983. In fact, I still have my copy on my
bookshelf.

The professor also used it in a course I took at the University of
Warwick back in '89-90. I remember it as being quite good.
