"Ida and the kids were by no means destitute after Fred killed himself -- according to some reports. The clear implication is that Fred managed to shelter, hide, whatever,
quite a sum of money from the creditors."

What reports? There are no such reports. His obituary says he left $25 in cash, $200 in stocks and a Cadillac. Don't allude to possibly ficticious reports, let's see them, post the source.

"Are you implying that all the money comes from the Forbes Family and Richard Kerry had none of his own? How did he go to Harvard and marry Rosemary Forbes?"

You don't have to be rich to go to Harvard. And you don't have to be rich to marry an heiress, as contributors to this list know perfectly well.

Richard Kerry went to Harvard in the late 1920's-early 1930's -- not the
Harvard of today.

So, what is written below is totally irrelevant.

That was a different Harvard.

Something is obviously missing here about Fred Kerry's finances.
