I seem to recall a brief discussion recently concerning the availability of
CP on a CD. A number of concerns were expressed (i.e., searchability, etc)
at the time. Has anyone looked into this or purchased the CD? This would
seem to be a good alternative to purchasing the books if the CD was
developed properly.

And probably a piece of trash -- with no adequate search engine.

| It turned out that this was an unauthorised copy of CP on CD, and
therefore
| in breach of copyright.

This would have been a mega project. Either a couple of days on some

I'm astonished that anyone would have gone that far.
There is also CP = "Cracroft's Peerage" on CD by Patrick
Cracroft-Brennan, Director - Heraldic Media Limited, Editor of
"Cracroft's Peerage", Web site: http://www.heraldicmedia.com . Dunno if it is
still in production.

Have you had a look at the web site, below? There are some examples
