English origin of the MD Darnall family

Can anyone comment on the following, and would any of the lines lead
to royal descents?

_Proceedings of the American Antiquarian Society_, n.s., 46 (1936):271
(discussion of a portrait of Henry Darnall I [1645-1711]):

SUBJECT: Col. Henry Darnall, I, was born in England in 1645. He was
the son of a London barrister, Philip Darnall (c. 1605-1679) of a
prominent English Roman Catholic family of Bird's Place, Essenden,
Hertfordshire, England. He came to Maryland in 1672, ...

John Edwin Cussans, _History of Hertfordshire_, vol. 2, part 2, pp.
159-60 (discussion of Essendon, Herts.):

Here resteth the bodies of Henry Darnall, of Bird's Place, in this
Parish, Esq., Councellor at Law, of Gray's Inn, and of Marie, his
wife, daughter of William Tooke, Esq., second son of William Tooke,
Esq., Auditor of his Majesty's Court of Wards and Liveries, by whom he
had Issue, John Henry, Anne, Thomas, Susan, Philip and Rafe Darnall,
all living at the time of his decease. Mary, Philip and Rafe dyed in
his life-time, which Henry dyed in the 43rd yeare of his age in Febr.
Anno 1607 and the said Mary, his wife, dyed the 7th of May, 1632, in
the 59th year of her age.

(I assume this means he had two sons name Philip, one who predeceased
him, and one who survived).

The parents of Mary (Tooke) Darnall are also buried at Essendon:

Here lyeth interred the body of William Took, Gent. sometime of
Hertford and Lord of this Mannor, second son of William Took, of
Popes, Esq. and of Mary, his wife, which was the daughter of Nicholas
Tychbourne, Gent. sometime of Royden, in the County of Essex; which
William deceased the 12th day of February, 1611, and Mary, the 29th
day of August, 1623.

(I assume that Mary Tychbourne was the wife, not mother, of William
Took [d. 1611]).

A pedigree chart of the Tooke family on p. 249 shows that the first
William Tooke, auditor of Wards and Liveries, died 1588, aged 80, and
was married to "Alice, da. Robert Barley, of Kimpton, Co. Herts."

Dear John,

According Noel Currer-Briggs in THE CARTERS OF VIRGINIA, chart on page 98,
John Darnall (d 1605) m. Susan Lawrence were the parents of the Henry
Darnall who married Mary Tooke (more info on her available). They
were the parents of several sons, including a Henry and a Phillip Darnall.

Regards,

Bob
