I've been asked in pvt about one Girolamo/Gironimo
Grimaldi, who was in the Americas around 1512. Since
I've accidentally deleted the message, I'm replying to
the group: there is one such individual in Battilana,
tav. 16, Grimaldi, within that time frame.

Grimaldi was an ancient family of Ventimiglia (then in Genoa and Monaco).
Girolamo or Gironimo was quite a common name in that period. There should be
some book by G. Rossi with genealogy of Grimaldi of Ventimiglia. I do not
know more.

As you can see in my site, in that period Giano di Campofregoso, di Tommaso,
was Doge of Genoa.
