Looking for Info on Olaf Aslaksen Skare a.k.a. Scarvie

I am looking for information and descendents of Olaf Aslaksen Skare, oldest
son of Aslak Olsen Skare and Sigred Saamundsdatter Vraali. Olaf was born in
1849 at Kvieseid, Telemark, Norway and died in 1917 at Minneapolis,
Minnesota. His family name was changed to Scarvie after emigration. I
believe that he was the first of the family to emigrate; accordingly, he
most likely initiated the name change and induced the rest of the family to
follow. He was married to Mathilda Nestebye. Aslak and Sigred are my
paternal great-grandparents. I'd be grateful for any and all information
about family members, especially about Aslak, Sigred, and my grandfather,
Draeng Aslaksen Skare.

Here you can find Aslak Olsen at Skare in Vraadal parish in Telemark 1865.

1849 Born May 2th, baptised May 28th Olaf, legitimate, Parents Aslak Olsen
og Sigre Saamundsdr Vraaled Indst (Inderst) i Vraadalie.

Wedding took place in Kviteseid same book, weddings (ekteviede) 1846 page nr
403 # 14
Aslak Olsen Leilendungsön + Sigrid Saamundsdr Vraalie both aged 21
His father Ole Drengsen, her father Saamund Tarjesen

Do you have access to ancestry.com? Please let me know if the
following names are meaningful?

The 1900 US Census shows the following members of the Scarvie
Family, located in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Sim??? Scarvie, age 37, born 1863, arrived 1881 from Norway
Magdalena, age 36, born 1864, from Norway
Stella, age 6, born 1894, born Minnesota
Arla, age 4, born 1896, born Minnesota
Stanley, age 3, born 1897, born Minnesota
Walter, age 1, born 1899, born Minnesota
Aslak, age 76, born 1834, from Norway

Walter later registered for WWI while living in Decorah, Iowa.

In 1910 the family is living in Glenwood, Iowa and added the
following children...The census shows head of family as Simas O. Scarvie

Norman, age 8, born 1902
Theresa, age 7, born 1903
Esther, age 5, born 1905
Vivian, age 2, born 1908

If this is any of this is meaningful let me know and I'll add whatever

Bill...further information on S. A. Scarvie as quoted from book,
"Collections of the Minnesota Historical Society," page 673.
"Scarvie, S. A., educator, b. in Christiania stift, Norway, July 16,
1863; came to the United States in 1873; lived in Minnesota; settled
in Norman county in 1885; was county superintendent of schools,
1891-2, residing in Ada."

Perhaps a relative. The information jives with the 1900 and 1910
census. The 1910 census shows S. A. Scarvie as a Minister.
