Hi from Denmark

Try to see Google and name it "Karrebeaksminde", bouth in words and
pictures.

It is a little fishermann place in South of Zeeland, Denmark, near
Neastved.

Om pictures there are 3 with boats and so.

And in http://www.dis-danmark.dk you also can in left side find a " find your
family here" and there are also some other looking for your danish word and
place.
Try also Google: write "Karrebeaksminde kort* , then you have a map (=kort)
over the area.

Regards from
Jens Eg look http://www.thyslaegt.dk too

Any idea what the meaning (if any) of Karrebæksminde is? A lot of the
places in the area have Karrebæk as the word root.

In my small Danish-English dictionary, Karre=block, bæk=brook, and
minde=memorial. But direct literal translations often don't work.

Karre-bæk = Originally the name of a small stream or river ( later on also
the name of a village )
Minde = Old word for the mouth of a stream/river.

Karre (=block) is another word: french carré. So that translation
isn't even literal :-)
