couple died and if they're in the 1920 census. I have the family in the
1910 census with 3 children, and then I have the youngest (my great
grandmother) married and living with a cousin in the 1930 census. In 1925
she married and is at the same address she is at in 1930. I am hoping to
find them in 1920, but I have not been able to find them through
heritagequest or ancestry...I'm thinking a fresh pair of eyes might be able
to help me find where they're hidden
I don't know if there's any vital information that I'll get from the 1920,
but since my great grandmother is not living with the people she's living
with in 1925/1930, I'd like to know where she is. Here is the information I
have.
Angus Knox
1881 census: Cornwall, Cornwall, Ontario; age 7; b. Ontario
with father John Knox 40 and siblings Margaret 17, Elizabeth 14, Robert 11,
and William 10.
Alexander Knox
1900 census: Lowell, Middlesex, MA; age 26; b. Oct 1873 in Scotland; lodger
Alexander and Minnie Knox
1910 census; Tyngsboro, Middlesex, MA
Alexander - head - 39 - M1 10years - b. canada, parents b. canada - imm:
1892 - Al - occ: tanner
Minnie - wife - 39 - M1 10 years - bore 4 children/3 still living - b.
England, parents b. England - imm: 1892
Gilbert - son - 6 - b. MA
Doris - daughter - 4 - b. MA
Edith - daughter - 11/12 - b. MA
Edith is in the 1930 census with her husband Roy McGregor and 'cousins'
Richard and Evelyn Goggin in Randolph, Norfolk, MA. I have found the
Goggin's in 1920 and Edith is not living with them.
I have Edith's birth certificate from Pelham, NH that lists her father as
Angus A Knox, b. in Canada, residing in Lowell, MA and her mother as Minnie
B Hulme b. in England
My grandmother told me that Minnie died young; she thinks around 1918 in the
flu epidemic...she doesn't remember her grandparents Angus and Minnie...she
thinks they both died before she was born in 1926. I have searched the death
index at the MA office of vital records, and haven't found a death record
for either of them. I think I searched from 1910-1950
So, it's possible that Minnie has died by 1920, but where are Angus and the
kids?
Thanks for any help,
kristen
