The Anthony J. Doemer Family

Legg inn av James A. Doemer » 10 okt 2004 13:16:05

Greetings!

I am looking for information about my great, great grandparents, Anthony J.
Doemer, and Anna Mortz (Mertz?)

They had five sons:

1. ANTHONY1 DOEMER He married ANNA MORTZ.

Children of ANTHONY J. (Probably JOSEPH) DOEMER and ANNA MORTZ are:
i. RAYMOND2 JOSEPH DOEMER.
ii. ELMER DOEMER.
iii. CHARLES DOEMER, b. January 06, 1899; d. January
1972.
iv. ANTHONY JOHN PATRICK DOEMER, b. 1888.
v. EDWIN J DOEMER, b. August 07, 1889, Michigan; d.
October 1969, Michigan1.

We don't know the birthdates of Raymond, or Elmer. Anthony J. P. is my
line. We have no information about Anthony Doemer, or his wife Anna, except
that they may have originally come
from Germany, through New York, then to the Detroit, Michigan area.
However, a search of the Ellis Island records does not turn up their names,
which seems odd to me. Also, I found nothing
in the Bremen records, which isn't as surpising since many of the Bremen
records were destroyed in the wars.

Any information you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.

Jim.

1972.

I would LOVE to have the census images! Please send them to me at
ckdbigtoe@earthlink.net Let me know if I need to reimburse you for your
time and trouble as well. Thank you very much! Strange that Charles
wasn't listed. I will have to research that further. Again, thank you
very much!

I believe Charles is the son of John and Ida Doemer who also lived in
Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.

Images received! Thank you very much. Do you have access to 1860 census
information for the Doemers?

It is possible. Maybe Charles was a cousin.

That's a shame. Thank you very much for trying though.
