In the ancestry.com-database
"California Death Index 1940-1997"
should be a
Stitzing
Could someone do a lookup for me and tell me which Stitzing this is.
Thanks in advance

Re: ancestry.com death index lookup
Thank you Bob,
the search on this site returns no hit, the search on ancestry returns 1
hit. What does this mean ?

I don't really know. It has others that I've looked up, but the 2 databases
apparently aren't synchronized when they basically should be the same.
Perhaps that was an error that was corrected in the Rootsweb version or
perhaps Ancestry hasn't kept the Rootsweb version up to date. There is
precedent for that.
Let's hope that somebody with an Ancestry subscription looks that up so that
we'll know for sure.

In article <4166AC9D.C9F9D66C@comcast.net>, robheil@comcast.net says...
On ancestry.com:
California Death Index, 1940-1997
Name Death Date Death Place Social Security Number Gender Birth Date Birthplace
Mother's Maiden Name
FREIBERG, LEE F 20 Jun 1966 LOS ANGELES 562149056 MALE 16 Feb 1894 OHIO
STITZING
So the 'hit' is on the mother's maiden name.

Interesting! And a search on mother's maiden name on Rootsweb also gives that
result. That's something to remember when using that database!
