Hero DANHOF Family in Michigan Census 1900 - 1920

Legg inn av Bluegene » 29 sep 2004 03:13:40

I am trying to re-construct the family of Hero DANHOF and his wife
Elizabeth SUTHERLAND of Holland. She was a relative of my Great
Grandfather William Henry SUTHERLAND of Holland, who came to New
Orleans Cir. 1846.

I know the DANHOFs emigrated to the USA in 1891 and settled in the
area of Grand Rapids, Kent, MI. I have found Hero in the 1930 census
of Grand Rapids as age 65, widower, a Greenhouse Florist, born in
Holland, immigrated in 1891, and a naturalized citizen.

I no longer have access to Ancestry.com online, so if anyone with
access to Ancestry or Heritage Quest can find this family Cir. 1900
thru 1920 in or around Kent County, MI and can send me the image (or
transcription) I would be most grateful!

And I would like to hear from anyone descended from this family, as
well.

Mike,

Thanks a bunch for the images! Seems they emigrated a couple of years
before that which I had. And it seems she had a bunch of children (10)
of which only 3 were living in 1920! Difficult to read the bottom part
of the 1900 Census sheet, but I'll see what I can make of it!

The 1920 for Detroit which included two of their children was a bonus!

This group goes all-out to help people, and I am certainly grateful
for the assistance. Thank you, Mike, once again!
