Ancestry.com WWI draft records lookup request

Legg inn av PM » 24 sep 2004 05:05:56

Hi!
apparently there is one record of a Mr MALPART in the WWI draft records
at Ancestry.com. He came from Liverpool to Ellis on the Cymric on 1899
then what? Could someone lookup that for me?

Thanks.

I found a John H. Malpart, born October 22, 1873 whose residence was given
as Rte. 3, Britton, Marshall Co., S.D.
His physical description was tall, slender, brown eyes, dark hair. His next
of kin was Mrs. J. H. Malpart, Britton, S.D.
The Registration is dated 12 September 1918 and was very hard to read, but
didn't contain any other useful genealogical information.

Good luck with your search.

PM: As someone has already told you, the Malpart in WWI draft is John.
Your Malpart is listed on the Cymric as Maurice and age 28. His age at
WWI draft registration would put him around the cut-off for
registration. Also, your Malpart listed himself as a "traveller", so
he may not have stayed in the US. Don't see him in the 1900 Census.
