Try Elkton Maryland. It seems to have been a marriage mill until
sometime in the 1950s or '60s.

Or try New Jersey...which is at least close to NYC. (g)

I called the records folks at the Elkton hall, and they said that the reason
for this was that they didn't require a blood-test. Intriguing. So I hope
someone out there has info or access to that countie's records.

How would I e able to commence research on NJ when I dont have a specific
county? Any thoughts?

Thanks
