New Eyes -- Can't Read Census

Legg inn av Gjest » 01 nov 2007 06:22:33

I can't read the last name of the son-in-law (Clarence) listed with
the Henry Grubbs family in the 1900 census, Forest County,
Pennsylvania, Green Township, enumeration district 46, supervisor's
district 14, sheet 8B, line 70, dwelling 150, family 152; National
Archives microfilm T623, roll 1412, page 21.

I downloaded the image from Heritage Quest -- I'm hoping someone with
Ancestry.com will have a better copy?

TIA

T.M. Sommers

I think it's 'Jones'. Compare the 'John' on line 65.

I agree, looks like Jones. I did a follow-up just to check the theory. This
looks like them in 1910.

Name: Clarence Jones
Age in 1910: 33
Estimated birth year: abt 1877
Birthplace: Pennsylvania
Home in 1910: Kingsley, Forest, Pennsylvania
Source Citation: Year: 1910; Census Place: Kingsley, Forest, Pennsylvania;
Roll: T624_1347; Page: 15A; Enumeration District: 60

Yes -- that is them. Thank you, Thomas and Tara, for the help.
