Print mirror image in WORD?
I'm creating a tee-shirt that has words on it. (g)
The transfer sheets are very specific about being sure to
print it as a mirror image so the text will be legible when
transferred to the shirt.
I _know_ I've seen it in Word, but be darn if I could find
it yesterday -- everything was talking about mirrored margins.
Running Word2003 on an XP. Where do I look for the command?
Thanks!

You need to create an object [I'd use wordart] then flip it.
[BTW- my f1 search got results for mirror- but I have it set to search
online]

I couldn't get it to word on the wordart box- I had to copy/paste it

I'll keep using Paint Shop Pro.<g>

The same function is also often available in various basic
picture-editing programmes which come with scanners and cameras. If
the image is going on to a t-shirt then it is likely that the pixel
count will need to be increased (along with an element of smoothing
to get rid of jagged edges).

I believe that's a function of your print driver. I have a mirror option for
both my Epson and HP ink jet printers (but not my laser printer). Click the
properties button of your printer. For the Epson, it's in a tab labeled Page
Layout and in the HP, it's found after clicking the Advanced button.

Thanks; the directions (which still feel pretty risky)
turned up under "Reverse" not "mirror" in Word's off-line
help, and I actually risked it (after resaving the file
under a different name!) and the "flip horizontal" in the
word-art choices worked nicely.
It was important not to screw up because some of the text
was in a language I don't read. No prizes for guessing
which one.

I just tried this open Word make you copy in Word then save as a "Web page".
I then opened it in Word Highlight it and use Copy ,Then open PhotoShop
click "File" go to "New" open it you will have a blank sheet the right size
for you copy ,now go to Edit and used Paste ,You will have a opened
PhotoShop file of you Work.
Now In PhotoShop go to "Image" then "Rotate Caves" then "flip caves

Re: Print mirror image in WORD?
There is a nice (FREE) program called "Paperless Printer", in which you
can do all sorts of "stuff" - print to a PDF - create .JPG, etc.
Do what you want in Word . . . then Google for "Paperless Printer,
download, and go to work. You can do a "mirror image" .JPG in most
half-decent graphics packages. I use "Paint Shop" . . . it's a lot less
$$$ than Photoshop.
