Woods of Essex

I am researching the WOOD family of Essex: Christopher and a William
Wood of the 1700's, Steeple, Essex.
Would be glad to hear from any Wood researchers of that area:
Mountnessing, Maldon, Hayley, Ostend etc.
Lorna... Woods are thick on the ground but short on this list!

I'd suggest you sub to GenBrit. It's also a newsgroup gatewayed to a
Rootsweb mailing list but there are people there who don't post here.

There's also a specific mailing list for Essex.

In both instances you need to give as much information as you have and
what specifically you're looking for with your surname of interest in
CAPS, main place and era. Many people are subbed to more than one
list and/or group and receive hundreds of posts and mails a day. The
more informative the subject line, the better your chances of getting
guidance and assistance.
