Help with Nicholson family research

Legg inn av Alida Spry » 29 jun 2007 20:10:02

Hello everyone,

I am looking for information on a Nicholson family who was living in the
Toledo, Ohio area in 1974. They had one son with an engineering degree, a
daughter with a history degree and the youngest daughter was about 19 and a
sophmore in college studying music from the fall of 1973 to the spring of
1974. This is where I lose track of them. I don't have any first names. The
father is said to be of Scottish descent and the mother was of Czech
descent.

The youngest daughter is my husband's birth mother. This is all the info
that we have been able to get from the adoption agency which was Catholic
Charities. My husband was born on March 9, 1974 at the Toledo Hospital and
delivered by a doctor James L. Philip. We are searching for her in the hopes
of obtaining some medical and family history. We have no desire to disrupt
her life and will respect her privacy if she does not wish to have a
relationship.

We have joined many adoption search groups and even hired a private
investigator to no avail. If any of this looks or sounds familiar, please
reply or email me directly. Thank you very much and good luck with all your
genealogical searches.

How have you been able to get what information you have--what is the
source? You won't be able to make substantial progress until you at
least get first names of any of the parties involved or the names of
the colleges/universities they attended. Please send me a self-
addressed stamped envelope so I may send you some suggestions about
what you can do (local records in Ohio) to get the information you
seek. If my tips don't work you should consider placing a small
classified ad in the Toledo newspaper so it can be viewed by the local
citizens or actual parties who will have helpful information to report
to you.
