I was just wondering if any one has subsribed to this user pay site? I
googled it and found a review on Everton's that was positive, but am just
curious if anybody had subscribed to it, and if you were happy with the
results.
Thank you

I have a subscription to genealogybank.com as well as
newspaperarchive.com, both of which have been handy for searching for the
occasional article relevant to my family names. We're not famous or
anything so there's not much out there, but what I've found has been
valuable to me, anyway--things like social notes and such which fill in
the backstory to official records (census, vital).

I subscribed for a year to each, assuming that I'd find everything I need
within that time. genealogybank.com's interface is much more pleasant to
deal with than newspaperarchive.com's, which is clunky and slow. But the
latter often covers areas where my family lived, so it's useful as well.

You might want to try a month's subscription to one or the other to see
how you like it. Make sure that your cities of interest are covered by
the database too.
