Any recommendation for good (reasonably priced) genealogy software,
preferably UK oriented. Thanks in advance.

Depends on exactly what you expect from a genealogy package and how
you do genealogy.
If exactness and citing sources in detail are your thing then nothing
beats The Master Genealogist.

If you just want unsourced or minimal sourced basic info and pretty
charts then there are several packaqges to choose from.

For MAC users the only one to go with is Reunion 9.

You can't get more reasonably priced than free :))

Give Legacy or PAF a try but there are a number of other programs
available which offer a free trial. I would suggest that you try as
many as possible for as long as the trial lasts to find out which one
suits you best and you feel comfortable with. Asking for a
recommendation is a very subjective thing as what suits one person
doesn't suit another.

I like Legacy, it does everything I want and has good customer service
as well. I don't like PAF, I find it clumpy and not user friendly,
however, a great many people do like it.

I like Legacy too and I use it. And I agree re PAF - although many would
say they like it.

I think the FREE legacy is great - perhaps you will need the features on
the chargeable version

I have the DeLuxe version. I find the death date in the index very
useful when I'm trying to identify an addition to the family.
