Since I have no idea when David R. died, I have been going thru the
FHC microfilmed death index, year-by-year thru a likely range of
years.
I was wondering what NYC uses as an index? if the index was
alphabetized (all years inclusive), then asking them to search a range
wouldn't be a big deal. Anyone know? - MIke

I tried italiangen, but got no hits; maybe my man died later than '48.

Do you know his date of birth? Any street address for him for any
years he was alive? Are you a relative who would qualify to order his
death certificate? Do you know the name of his spouse and children?
If you care to post that information heres here, further research
could be done in other places to find the information you want. Have
you tried the Social Security Death Index? It is also possible that
he may not have died in New York.
