Where Did Charles and Sarah Go?

Hi Everbody,

I've done really well (thanks to you all) on the other branches of my
family, but one is frustrating my attempts to trace it nearer to our times.
George Hugh Wilson (bn.1822 London. Occupation SCALE BEAM MAKER) and his
wife Sarah (bn. 1826 Isle of Wight) hade four children:

Charles Hugh Wilson bn. 1843 St.Giles, London, Middlesex.
Lydia Wilson bn. 1846 London, Middlesex.
Sarah Wilson bn. 1852 Manchester, England.
Caroline H. Wilson bn. 1870 Manchester, England.

The eldest child, Charles Hugh Wilson (Occupation: SCALE BEAM MAKER) married
a Sarah Ann Baxter, 1 Sept 1864 in Manchester, England. I have all the
census data of George Hugh Wilson and his family up to and past his and his
wife's death .... with the exception of his son Charles Hugh Wilson and his
new wife Sarah Ann .... they seem to disappear. There is one Charles
Hugh/Sarah A. combination that pops out of a search but the ages and
Charles's occupation of a SCALE BEAM MAKER soon sorts that one out.

I guess they could have split up soon after but I still can't find them.
They could have both died .. but I still can't find them .... and of course
they could have emigrated from the U.K. to somewhere .... but still I can't
find them.

If anybody has any ideas I would be most grateful.

Best Regards,

Dave H.

p.s. This is not related to the above .... If somebody 'works his passage'
or indeed signs up as a seaman for a voyage from the UK to the USA (in
1880), do they appear on a passenger list ... Some of you recently helped me
with Henry Baxter (the brother of Sarah Ann Baxter above) and his emigration
to the US, but although I know he went there and he obtained a passport and
indeed could be found there .. he couldn't be found on a passenger list. So
did he work his passage or sign up for a one way journey, his journey
therefore becoming transparent to the system?
