I know the Brooklyn Public Library has a collection, but would I find

Probably not. Most FHCs are space-challenged and keep no
hard-copy.

You can go to their website - http://www.familysearch.org and search there to

see if they have those phone books on microfilm.

Don't discount eBay. I've found several older phone books of interest to me
up for auction there. Doesn't take long to check every so often.

You can also set up a "watch list" on eBay which will email you if
something you're watching for comes up.
