Leicht Family, Saxony, Germany & Bethnal Green, England

Hi, I'm hoping that someone can help me as I have hit a bit of a brick wall
with the ancestors of my 2nd great grandfather, Johann Christian Leicht
b.~1853

Johann arrived in England sometime before 1878. He married Wilhelmine
Katherine Diebel in that year in Bethnal Green. He and his family lived in
Bethnal Green until at least 1916 when Johann died.

I have found him (& his family) in the 1881, 1891, &1901 England censuses.
His birthplace is listed in Germany except in 1891 when it is listed as
Saxony, Germany, his wife (Minnie) is shown as being from Nassau, Germany
b.~1853 in the same census.

His marriage certificate shows his fathers name as Ludwig Leicht, Cabinet
Maker and her fathers name as Charles Diebel, Labourer.

This is basically all the information I have about them.

How would I go about finding their families in Germany? (Saxony is a big
place and there appears to be more than one Nassau)

How can I find passenger lists from Germany to England duing that period
(assuming of course they travelled directly) although I am assuming they met
in England as they have come from so far apart in Germany.

I have checked for naturalisation records the last time I was in London, but
neither of them appear to have been naturalised.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I'm completely stuck
Many thanks

Dave
