MyGenCircles keeps sending me low-cost offers for Family Tree Legends.
Is there anything in this software that the regular Family Tree Maker
doesn't have?
Family Tree Legends? ? ?

Family Tree Maker is owned by Ancestry.com otherwise known as Genealogy.com.
Family Tree Legends is owned by Family Tree Legends.com given time
Ancestry.com will buy them out as well.
Neither program stacks up well against the likes of Legacy and I say
this from experience with all three programs of course this is my own
personal opinion, others may not agree with me but at the end of the day
the program you use is your personal choice.
My personal choice happens to be Legacy Deluxe and do not see myself
changing programs in the near future.

OK, but what --if anything-- does FTL do that FTM doesn't?

This sounds as if it is time that each program was re- evaluated so that
everyone can see what is the good and not so good points of each program.
Sure it would be great to see an up to date comparison of all
Genealogical software it would be also interesting to see if what each
company claims about their respective product is true or not.
It would be interesting to see how they rank on their relative merits.
Count me out on this as I have neither the time, money or inclination to
do such a project.
