I am trying to figure out the best way to print out my family tree from
Family Tree Maker. The reports are not the best but I can figure out how
to get most of the information that I want. However I would also like to
print out a complete list of individuals to include with the family
tree. Is there any way to do that?

If you're using FTM 2006 (don't know about earlier versions) you can get
a report by selecting Reports=>outline descendants or if you want a
chart use All-In-One and under Options select "Display siblings". This
will include all brothers and sisters in a family by order of birth.
Hope that's what you want.

I'm using an older version....9.0, but that's not exactly what I want. I
want to print out a complete list of individuals...sort of like what you

Re: Printing Family Trees in FTM
I cannot find a provision for printing the complete Index of Individuals.
However, it is a capability that exists in GenSmarts. GenSmarts gives
you the ability to print the complete Ancestor List in alphabetical order
with some options as to what to include.

Why not take this issue up with the Company that produces Family Tree Maker.
I take it you do not want to wait around until the author of this
program gets their A into G.
Of course they will put out a new version with the improvement in it
for one princely sum of about $30.00USD no doubt.

Re: Printing Family Trees in FTM
Go to View, Reports, Custom -- this gives you a list of everyone in the
database. You can then change what items you want in the report under
Contents. I have the latest FTM version, but I have done this in
previous versions also.

perhaps a few shady varieties!
