Tracing a sailor

I have a photo graph of one of my realtives in a naval uniform, black cap
with Union Castle Line cap tally. I have visited their site (Union Castle)
but no records.
He was born about 1925 so I assume he was in the merchant navy during the
war years or just after as he is young looking in the photograph.
How can I find more about him via naval records or any other sources.
Any help would be much appreciated as he is the only one of this side of my
family I know little about.
His name is Edward (Eddie) Clark.

I thank anyone in advance for any assistance in tracing him.

I would suggest that you write to the below address and see what "fruit this
will bare"... Now I realize you don't have all of this info they are asking
for.....but what the heck....write a letter [telling them as much as you
know that is 'fact'], throw on a stamp....what have you got to loose???
I never have "all" the info when I dive into something....I just go ahead
and send it....asked he questions and 90% of the time I get "some answers"
in reply............
So....give it a "go"..... I've used this address many a time and have never
been let down yet....

Well, if he's not too drunk, just lean him up against a wall, and take
a marker and run it around the outside of him.

Viola! A perfect tracing!

A four-foot stringed instrument. And don't call me Shirley.

Well Alan........I've been the one leaning up against the wall a few
times.....here and there in the many ports of call I happened to visit. No
body traced me.....but a few carried me back to the ship a time or two....

Hi Bud,

I'm going to try that myself (sending a letter to the CG, that is, not
standing up against a post). If it works, I owe you bottle of wine.
