Alexander S Harely: Pinellas County, FL

Legg inn av sylak » 14 okt 2006 01:45:13

By sheer chance I came across what may be a missing part of the family tree
that has eluded me for way too long.

If someone could possibly look up the 1930 census for Pinellas County, FL
[west-central FL on the Gulf] for Alexander S Harley. I am hoping he has a
son of about 9. Alexander would have been 32 in the 1930 census. He may be
the same Alexander Stewart Harley who was married in the next county over
being Hillsborough.

Thanks again!!

I checked and could not find him in 1930. Where was he born? In Florida?
Do you know who his parents were?

Alida:

At this time I do not know where he was born. I am working on getting a
copy of the death certificate. He is not shown on the SS DBI either. Thanks
for checking.

Raymond: Are you looking for HARELY or HARLEY?
Alexander Stewart Harley died in Pinellas County 27 Sept 1971 per FL
Death Index. Born 24 Mar 1898. SSDI says born 25 March. SS# issued in
Michigan.

First off, thank you for the additional information. I was clearly having a
senior moment (brain cramp) as I pulled out the wrong SSDI CD which is why I
did not find Alexander HARLEY and the fact he has gotten his SSN in
Michigan. This is a puzzler. He married a woman who lived in the county next
to the one in which he passed away (in FL) but his SSN was issued in
Michigan. Is there any way to see if he shows up in the 1930 census in
Michigan? I am working on getting a copy of the death certificate and I will
write to the SS folks for a copy of the application. Once again, thanks for
the help.

Janette:

I think you found him! He got his SSN in Michigan so it is a very logical
connection. Can you provide me whatever details are in the census? Thanks!!
