Lapaglia records help

Hello,
I have hit a brick wall. Could anyone direct me to were I just might
find some records on my grandmother Josephine Lagpaglia. She is still
living in California. My question is that I do not know her parents
names. I do know that she is Sislian and that here father or
grandfather came to america by himself. And that he shined shoes till
he had enough money to open his own Barber shop. She married James
Ernest Rae.b.1928 d.2005 they had 3 children. They also owned there
home for many years in Bloomington California. They divorced once and
then married again I think. But then maid it permanent in the early
70's.
It would be easy to just ask her but, my parents split up when I was
about 3 and we moved to a differnt state. My father choose to have
nothing to do with us.
So this is why I do not know much about my grandmothers family.
Thank You
Kim

I found a possible candidate for Josephine's father:

Year: 1930; Census Place: Belvedere, Los Angeles, California; Roll: 123;
Page: 7A; Enumeration District: 1563
Lapaglia, Laurence, 30, age at first marriage 24, born Italy, parents
born Italy, immigrated 1914, PA, barber, works in barber shop
Lucy, wife, 22, age at first marriage 18, born CA, father born Italy,
mother born CA
Margie, daughter, 4 9/12, born CA

They lived on North Ditman Street in the town of Belvedere, Los Angeles
County, CA.

Ancestry.com also has the California Birth Index online, but I couldn't
find Josephine in it. Do you have any guess as to what year she was
born, or if her actual first name is something other than Josephine?
